Raosaheb Danve, also known as Raosaheb Dadarao Danve Patil, is a senior Indian politician from Maharashtra and a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Born on 18 March 1955 in Jalna district, he began his political career at the grassroots level as a Sarpanch and later became a Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Bhokardan constituency. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Jalna constituency five consecutive times from 1999 to 2019. Danve served as the Minister of State for Railways, Coal, and Mines in the Government of India from 2021 to 2024 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier, he also held the position of Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and served as the Maharashtra BJP President. Known for his strong rural connect and organizational skills, Raosaheb Danve has played an important role in Maharashtra and national politics for several decades.
