M. Prabhakar Rao holds the position of Chairman and Managing Director at Nuziveedu Seeds Ltd (NSL), the largest seed company in the country. He is recognized for his pioneering efforts in making new technologies available to farmers at an affordable price and bridging the gap between technology developers and seed companies.

Having served as a founding member of the National Seed Association of India (NSAI), he has also held prominent positions such as chairman of FICCI-Andhra Pradesh State Council and the Cotton Advisory Board under the Ministry of Textiles. M. Prabhakar Rao has demonstrated his commitment to philanthropy through the establishment of Mandava Foundation, a charitable trust that supports various education, health care, and agricultural productivity initiatives.
