Vikram Gulati is the Country Head and Executive Vice President – Corporate Affairs & Governance at Toyota Kirloskar Motor. He is responsible for overseeing government affairs, corporate governance, public policy, sustainability advocacy, external communications, and corporate social responsibility initiatives for Toyota in India.

Vikram Gulati joined Toyota Kirloskar Motor in 2017 and has since played a key role in strengthening the company’s engagement with policymakers, industry associations, and stakeholders in India’s evolving mobility and energy ecosystem. Over the years, he has held leadership responsibilities across external affairs, public relations, corporate social responsibility, and governance functions.

At Toyota Kirloskar Motor, he has been one of the prominent voices advocating a “multi-technology” pathway for India’s green mobility transition. He has consistently emphasized that India should pursue a balanced mix of hybrid vehicles, flex-fuel vehicles, electric vehicles (EVs), compressed biogas (CBG), hydrogen, and ethanol-based technologies to achieve energy security and carbon-reduction goals.

Vikram Gulati has actively supported India’s ethanol blending and alternative fuel initiatives. He has highlighted the importance of flex-fuel vehicles and biofuels in reducing fossil-fuel imports, improving energy independence, and supporting India’s agricultural economy. In industry discussions, he has frequently noted that ethanol and hybrid technologies can complement EV adoption rather than compete with it.
