Sangeet Singla, a 2004 batch officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), currently serves as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD), Government of India.

In his role, Singla oversees the Storage and Research (S&R) and Price Monitoring Cell (PMC) divisions, focusing on policy matters related to the sugar sector.

Prior to his current appointment, Singla held the position of Director (S&VO) within the DFPD, where he emphasized the importance of digitizing operations in sugar mills to enhance efficiency and transparency.

Singla has been an active participant in industry conferences, sharing insights on the future of the sugar industry in India. He is scheduled to speak at the 4th edition of the Sugar and Ethanol India Conference (SEIC) in January 2025, reflecting his ongoing commitment to the sector’s development.
