Mr. Mehta is facilitating downstream business development, overseas opportunity evaluation, leadership coordination with industry, and RIL’s emerging energy ventures.

Prior to this, he was the founder CEO of Reliance BP Mobility Limited (RBML), JV of Reliance and bp. Mr. Mehta transformed RBML (operating under Jio-bp brand) from conventional transport fuels organization to a complete mobility solution provider with forays into low carbon solutions and convenience offerings in 5 years.

To charge net zero aspirations, Mr. Mehta set up country-wide EV charging and gaseous fuel network to expedite customer shift to clean energy solutions. Built from scratch, he set RBML on path of being India’s leading charge point operator. Alongside CNG, he also led their foray into retailing of Compressed Biogas and Hydrogen.

Through be-spoke high performance fuels, Mr. Mehta helped elevate the bar for Indian fuel standards. He enhanced the catchment range of RBML mobility stations with his pioneering on-demand doorstep fuelling. Anchored on technology, he led JV’s aviation to record highs in bottom and top line.

To bring in global fuelling experience, Mr. Mehta deployed a suite of industry leading propositions including Convenience for ‘’Food on the Go’’ and customized Loyalty programs. He took bp’s Wild Bean Cafe brand to High Street and through coffee-vending to corporates, both global firsts and competing with the best joints in India.

Before taking over as RBML CEO, Mr. Mehta was President – Refining & Marketing at Reliance, overseeing domestic petroleum marketing for the World’s largest refining complex. Prior to RIL, he had a rich three-decade tenure with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited where he held the prestigious roles of Executive Director Sales (Bulk Oils & Lubricants) and Executive Director Operations & Distribution.

An Electrical Engineering Alumnus from Thapar Engineering College, Punjab; he is a regular invitee at international forums and Government committees on Oil & Gas.
